The New Year’s tree in Nikolaev came out in military style this year. Its role was played by the monument in St. Nicholas, which is closed from shelling sandbags.
The monument is conical, resembling a Christmas tree. The sculpture is covered with six khaki camouflage nets. Volunteers weave them. Also, the Christmas tree will be decorated with balls, toys and garlands.
