TVORCHI lead singer Jeffrey Kenny has responded to criticism regarding his command of the Ukrainian language. He said this in an interview with TSN.
In particular, netizens said that it is unacceptable for Ukraine’s representative at Eurovision 2023 to have a poor command of the state language. However, Geoffrey made sure his English would suit him well in Liverpool.
“We’re going to Liverpool. We have a Ukrainian, we have someone who can talk to people there. So I don’t know what you’re talking about. If they want to talk about it, then fine,” he said .
In addition, the singer added that he is actively studying Ukrainian and even invited a teacher for it.
“I understand everything. I’m in the process now, I’m learning. Everything will be OK. I have a teacher and I will continue to learn the language when I go home,” the lead singer of the TVORCHI group summed up up
