The difference in the answers of those living in the United Kingdom is more significant.
The Prince and Princess of Wales embody British values in the best possible way among all representatives of the royal family. This was confirmed by a survey conducted among the adult population by Britain People’s Polling for GB News. The results were quoted by the Daily Mail.
54% of respondents voted for Kate and William. Interestingly, only 7% of respondents spoke in favor of the Dukes of Sussex – Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
At the same time, it is worth noting that in the retirement age group, 70% chose Prince William and Kate Middleton, and only 2% – Harry and Meghan. But younger Britons were split on the issue – 13% aged 18 to 24 chose the Sussexes.
“When it comes to the ongoing conflict between the younger members of the royal family, there is no doubt that William and Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales, are regarded by most of the country as the best representatives of Britain’s values. Unfortunately luckily for Harry and Meghan, they’re barely visible,” says professor and sociologist Matt Goodwin.
According to him, only 22% of those surveyed have a positive attitude towards Harry and Meghan.
In addition, the questionnaire included a question about whether the Sussexes should be invited to Charles III’s coronation next year. One in four think Harry and Meghan should be banned from the event, but 39% are in favor of being invited.
It will be remembered that after the release of the documentary, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were accused of creating a fake prosecution.
