The faces of the models are not visible, except on the last page. The calendars are now being sold at auctions.
Ukrainian Channel 5 journalists pose for a charity Uncensored nude calendar. So they want to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine – to collect a million hryvnias to buy radios. But the media community is against the idea.
12 TV channel representatives took part in the photo session. More than 20 elements of military equipment were used for shooting: weapons, kikimora, tactical shoes, and others.
“I have a friend in the marines, I won’t say who … It’s no secret that the military loves nudists, and they ask a lot of questions. So my friend said:” Maybe you have girlfriends there or something person. , well, I really want to see something beautiful. “The eyes ask for something good to see, because there are always the same broken houses, war,” said channel operator Ganka Kudryavtseva, who submitted this idea.
At the same time, public organizations and media professionals issued a collective statement condemning the idea of journalists and calling it “full of discriminatory and sexist narratives.”
“This negates the work being done by the media and civil society to ensure that women in Ukraine, including military personnel, are not treated as a sexual object. Military women often face sexism and sexual violence and are forced to combat these phenomena. We believe it is necessary to raise money for the needs of Ukrainian defenders in a way that does not involve promoting discriminatory and sexist narratives against women,” the statement said.
The appeal asks the Commissioner for Gender Policy, the Ombudsman for Human Rights and the Commission on Journalistic Ethics to review the legality and ethics of Channel 5’s actions.
Recall that a blind self-taught artist from Kurakhovo (a front-line city in the Donetsk region) Vladimir Yanitsky painted, and sent all proceeds from the sale to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
