Sophia Kievskaya hosted a show of the collection of the brand “STRIY” – healing clothes, the designer of which is the famous Ukrainian TV and radio host Anna Zakletska.
It is noted that the ethno-collection of warm clothes, created from merino wool yarn, is an exact copy of the decorated embroidery from the designer’s own collection. The collection includes embroidered shirts created over 100 years ago.
According to Anna Zakletskaya, the collection was created based on the knowledge obtained from the stories of Grandma Ganya, who lived most of her life in the Khmelnitsky and Rivne regions, as well as from the stories of people who talks the presenter for 30 years on his own legendary expeditions throughout Ukraine and the world.
“Objective, whole, holistic, healing – all these words are united by a common root and give fullness, uniformity and absence of gaps / cracks. Each sound, color, form has its own frequency of vibration. One’s own shirt is closer to the body: our native sounds and patterns reflect the frequency of each of us – thus making us whole, strong, protected. To feel it and use it, it is important to know yourself and live consciously,” explains Anna Zakletskaya.
In total, the collection includes 13 looks – floor-length knitted dresses, trousers and skirts. Most of the items in the collection are reversible or can be worn in different ways.
Sketches of models were drawn by Anna at the age of ten. But the decision to continue the drawings and start making the collection came in February 2021, after the death of the director Sergei Proskurny, whom he considered his “stage father”.
The show was held in a theatrical format. Artists from the vocal and choreographic ensemble Zernyshko appeared on the podium as models. Guests of the event were Les Podervyansky, Semyon Gorov and Yana Pomazan, Pavel Shilko, Vlad Litovchenko, Nastya Vergeles, Slavik Solomko, Alla Martynyuk, Tatyana Vlasova, Ilona Dovgan, Irina Stupka, Yaroslav Dzhus and others.
