It’s official: the denim maxi skirt is back and promises to invade fashionistas’ closets. In recent Fashion Weeks, several stylists have reintroduced the piece, at calf height, or even longer, promising to become a trend in summer 2023. The stylist Tausse Daniel evaluated the return of the look.

It’s interesting how brands reinvent pieces that go out and come back in fashion , and we are already on that path. We leave the rest in the hands of the big brands, once the trend is relaunched the whole market adapts”, analyzed.

According to the professional, who is from Maputo, Mozambique, the piece is actually a wildcard item that can transform your look. The stylist believes that her entry into this new fashion era has gained support from great models and influencers.
“And not just the skirt, but jeans in general, which have been valued with new approaches, as shown by the ‘ready to wear’ collection by the renowned brand Schiaparelli”said Tausse.
The denim skirt can be worn in all seasons and offers endless styling opportunities. The stylist explains that the combination of accessories and pieces that accompany it, give the look versatility.
“We can vary a romantic outfit with a cropped gypsy blouse, long skirt and sneakers. For those who prefer a more boho chic style, it is possible to combine the styling with a classic white t-shirt or even a linen one and a flat on the feet”, indicated.
And when it comes to shoes, the denim skirt calls for a fresh and casual accompaniment. Oh, and of course, always comfort as a priority.
“She always comes with sneakers, sandals, espadrilles, loafers and flats”added Tausse.
Finally, the expert indicated another trend that has the strength for a comeback next year: “Definitely the wide open bell-mouth of the 70’s”.
