“Terayakhta” includes hotels, shopping centers and parks, a runway for aircraft and a helipad.
Italian design studio Lazzarini created a floating city concept for 60,000 visitors. It is shaped like a turtle and runs on solar energy. The price is more than eight billion dollars. Photos posted on Instagram.
Terayacht was named Pangeos. It includes hotels, shopping malls and parks, an aircraft runway and helipads.
The ship will be 550 meters long and 610 meters wide. It will take eight years to build. If the concept is realized, it will be the world’s largest floating structure ever built.
Lazzarini said the plan could be implemented after the NFT-related crowdfunding period.
“The Terayacht needs a Terayacht: the concept for a vessel of similar size involves the implementation of a concrete shipyard/dam infrastructure that is flooded to lift the Terayacht into the air when it is launched,” said the designer.
The Pangeos hull, with a draft of 30 meters, consists of nine different bow sections and is divided into several blocks. It is equipped with nine high-temperature superconducting motors: each a 16,800 hp all-electric motor powered by a different onboard power source.
“Operated by a jet-powered transmission, the terrastructure will be able to travel at five knots. While sailing, the large wings are powered by the crashing waves, and Pangeos will continue to sail emission-free in the seas of planet Earth. In addition , solar panels are installed on the roof, providing part of the necessary clean energy to power the terayacht,” said the developers.
The name Pangeos itself comes from Pangaea. It is a supercontinent that existed millions of years ago in the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic.
“If it is implemented, the turtle-shaped vessel will be the world’s largest floating structure ever built,” Lazzarini said.
