Toyota has decided to support the loyalty of Gr Corolla fans and will offer updates for models of recent years, Motor1 reports. The idea went straight from the head of the company Akio Toyoda, known under Pseudonym Morizo, who continues to remind engineers: “Don’t forget about the current -owned.”
As chief engineer Naoyuki explained in the conversation, the update program began in 2024. Those who have -owned 2023rd versions can then get a set of parts from a more fresh model: new steering rodts and rear suspension, front air channels and even an aluminum tape to refine the aerodynamics.
In 2025, Toyota will go further: in dealerships, an advanced rear suspension with anti-spawn increases, tighter springs and shock absorption from the current version is expected. All of these components are easy to install, so the owners of the models of 2023-2024 can actually bring their cars to the level of 2025. The program applies to Gr Yaris.
However, not all upgrades are available – for example, an audio system of 2026 with an imitated engine sound or additional body adhesives are technically not compatible with old cars. But the basic mechanical elements are really noteworthy to change the mechanical behavior. Journalists who test the updated versions prove that even the basic details will significantly improve the dynamics.
The cost of last year’s set was $ 275, but prices for new ones have not been announced. According to the company, about 20% of GR Corolla -owned ones have already gained this opportunity, which is a relatively high indicator, given the level of sports car popularity.
