The European model will be released this winter, receive a separate line of machines and only available behind the hatchback.
Kia announced that her new K4 hatchback will enter car dealerships in Europe this winter. A car that replaces the CEED model is made in Mexico – there are also collected versions for the United States. At the same time, only one hatchback will come to the European market, while the US will sell both sedan and hatchback.
The European K4 is noticeably different from Americans. If the USA version of the base has received an atmospheric 2.0-liter machine with a capacity of 147 HP, then the European starts with a turbocharged 1.0-liter unit for 113 HP, available with or without a soft hybrid system. This engine is combined with a 6-speed “mechanics” or a 7-speed “robot” DCT.
At a higher trim level, both markets have a total of 1.6-liter turbo engines, but in Europe it is available in versions for 148 and 178 HP, while Americans only offer one option for 190 HP. All of these changes are exclusively DCT. A full -fledged hybrid version should appear in 2026.
The hatchback has a 2720 mm wheelbase, which provides the best space for passengers in the second row in class. The volume of the trunk is 438 liters in the standard version, but in the hybrid K4 it decreases to 328 liters due to additional equipment.
Inside, the freshness received a familiar panoramic display with a 12.3-inch instrument panel, a 5.3-inch screen for climate control and a 12.3-inch multimedia system. Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Voice Assistant with AI are available in the database. At a higher trim level, wireless charging will appear, as well as Harman Cardon Acoustics.
Prices for Europe have not been declared, but it is expected that K4 will be either a golf level, or a bit cheaper. For comparison: in the UK, the main version of the VW Golf life with a 1.5-liter engine of 150 hp. It costs from £ 28150.
