The participant of the Eurovision-2025 from the Greece Claudius was at the center of the criticism after he published a lid on the Tiktok in the Russian-speaking composition.
Greek performer Claudius Papadopul, known as Klavdia, who represents its country in Eurovision 2025, has caused a wave of anger among Ukrainian fans of the competition. The reason is his cover for the song The Fireplace of Russian performer Jony, whom he laid on Tiktok.
The comments of network users did not last long to come: many Ukrainians said that in the conditions of Russia’s full -scale war against Ukraine, Russian singing was unacceptable.
In response, Klavdia noted that she did not understand the “trends of music politics”:
“The fact that I sing this song has nothing to do with the fact that I support violence and war in general. I love music and sincerely hate that everything is political, especially music. It’s really not normal,” said the singer.
Meanwhile, in Russia, social networks recognized Klavdia’s performance with admiration.
Remember that the song -set that Jony was born in Azerbaijan, but since childhood he has lived in Russia, has had Russia’s citizenship and has not spoken about the war in Ukraine.
