Ukraine struck Rasmus with beauty, honesty and hopelessness. The guitarist of the group Emilia Sukhonen admitted that she fell in love with the country and wanted to return.
On Saturday, July 19, the legendary group of Finnish The Rasmus held at the Atlas Festival 2025 stage at Kyiv and shared his impressions at what he saw.
It is mentioned that in the two days in Ukraine the musicians saw how the country lived during the war, and marveled at the depth of mankind that they felt at every moment.
The group arrived at Kyiv on Friday morning of the Ukrzaliznitzі train and immediately fell to a rich program: they visited the Oshmatite Children’s Hospital, which suffered from a missile strike, provided a meeting and prepared for a performance. The Rasmus concert has become a real event in the festival.
Team guitarist Emilia Sukhonen shared emotions in a personal post:
“I was happy to be happy that I came to Ukraine. To call this trip a concert was that -downplay, though we went to play. At the same time, in two days we saw and survived many things, along with sleeping in the bombing of air anxiety and visited the children’s hospital, with a rocket that hit a year ago.
Sukhonen added that he was hoping to come again – in peaceful Ukraine, which, according to him, deserves to rest.
“The message from the Ukrainians is clear: Don’t forget us. I promise to act accordingly. It will be easy because I fell into this country and I wanted to go there soon. I hope that at that time there will be peace, it deserves Ukraine,” the musician is summarizing.
Earlier it was reported that Dylan Douglas, the son of Hollywood stars by Michael Douglas and Katherine Zeta-Jones, shared his memories during his visit to KYIV in September 2024.
