The novelty has retained the name Grandis, but turned from a minivan to a two -row crossover based on Renault Symbioz.
Mitsubishi introduced the new Grandis for the European market, but now it’s not a minivan, but a two -row crossover, which is actually an adapted version of Renault Symbioz.
The model was built on an elongated CMF-B platform from the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The main version is equipped with a 1.3-liter turbo engine with a soft hybrid for 140 HP, which works with a 6-speed “mechanics” or a 7-speed “robot” with two messages.
The second option is a full -fledged hybrid with a 1.8 -ller gasoline engine, two electric motor and a 1.4 kW battery, a total capacity of 156 hp. The drive is just in front of the wheels.
The Grandis is made in the style of a more compact Mitsubishi Asx, based on the Renault Captur. The silhouette, body and general line almost perfectly coincide with the original, except for the new 19-inches disc and hybrid EV nameplate on the doors. The most noticeable -noticeable differences -back to the back -headlights have a sports uniform resembling Mitsubishi Mitsubishi Sedans, and the trunk cover is processed.
The interior is an almost complete copy of the Renault: the same steering wheel (with a Mitsubishi logo), identical architecture and materials. The crossover is designed for five people, and the trunk volume changes from 434 to 566 liters due to the adjustment of the second row of chairs.
Equipment list: the trunk door drive, a panoramic roof with electrochrome darling, a vertical 10.4-inch touch screen and a complete set of electronic assistants.
The manufacture of Mitsubishi Grandis was established at the Renault Plant in Validolid (Spain), where Symbioz also gathered. The sale will start closer to the end of 2025.
Remember, earlier it was reported that Mitsubishi returned to the electric vehicle market.
