Kia has officially introduced the European version of the updated sportage crossover, which has previously been debuting South Korea.
In the restyling of the sportage, a rectangular radiator grille appeared, and the front headlights received a completely new vertical shape, which now extends along the body. In the past, the headlights were beveled and directed in the middle. The front bumper and the lower grill became also clearer in shape, with an accent on straight lines.
The changes are less noticeable from the back, however, the new back lights with processed elements arrange for updates. Kia also showed some pictures of baseline in white, except for the sports GT-line, shown in the title picture.
The dashboard is that -modern in the interior: ventilation deflectors are lowered below and located on the same line, and the middle control unit has a different shape. A new two -spoke steering wheel and a rectangular combination of two screens are especially recognizable. The main adjustment provides two 12.3 -inch displays – one for devices, the other for multimedia. A new projection display of 10 inches also emerged.
European Kia Sportage will receive two options for electrified power plants. The first is a soft hybrid with a 1.6 T-GDI gasoline engine paired with a 7-speed automatic double clutch gearbox. The second is a full hybrid that uses the same 1.6 T-GDI, but has a 6-speed automatic and a total capacity of 239 hp. Kia has not yet reported about the plugin-hybrid version, but its appearance will be expected later.
