Famous actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife at his home. The star was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery. Police are investigating the incident.
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was the victim of an attack at his home, reports Variety.
The star of the movies Will There Be Tomorrow or Not and the Angel of Love was attacked by a man with a knife. The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. when the 54-year-old actor returned home and found the intruder on the 11th floor, where he was arguing with the staff.
According to the police, there was a confrontation between Khan and the assailant, which resulted in the actor sustaining multiple stab wounds. After immediate hospitalization, surgeons performed the operation in 2.5 hours. The actor’s condition is now stable.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam commented on the incident: “The actor and the attacker had an argument. The actor was injured and is being treated. Investigations are ongoing.”
Saif Ali Khan’s representatives confirmed the attempted robbery and urged patience: “There has been an attempted robbery at Mr. Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in the hospital for surgery. We ask the media and supporters to be patient. It’s a police matter.”
Law enforcement agencies conduct an investigation to establish the attacker’s motives and all circumstances of the crime.
