Argentine Magali Beneham lost her title due to allegations of rigging the results of the competition.
Miss Universe 2024 contestant, Argentine model Magali Beneham, no longer holds the title due to scandalous claims that the results were rigged, the New York Post reports.
In a livestream on YouTube, he suggested that his 12th place finish was unfair and hinted at the bias of the judges. He said that when the five finalists were announced he noticed how different the judges looked.
“When the names of the five finalists were announced, I saw that the judges looked at each other strangely as if they were saying to each other : “We didn’t choose them,” – he said .
Magali also accused the winner of the competition, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig from Denmark, of knowing about her victory in advance. According to Beneham, in recent days Victoria has had a security group always with her, which has raised some suspicions.
After these statements, the organizers of the competition decided to remove Magali from the title, emphasizing that his words were contrary to the rules and spirit of the competition.
Earlier it was reported that Miss Japan 2024 of Ukrainian origin Carolina Shiino rejected the title.
