British singer and rock legend Sting, who has staunchly opposed the Putin regime since the early days of the war in Ukraine, sang his famous song Shape of My Heart, accompanied by a Ukrainian bandura.
This national instrument is played by a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Honored Artist of Ukraine and participant of the Cultural Landing initiative Taras Stolyar.
According to the organizers, the performance of the song impressed Sting so much that the next day he invited Taras Stolyar to join him in a solo concert.
Ukrainian soldiers met the world star in Los Angeles during the American Cultural Landing tour, which aims to popularize Ukrainian culture and support the international community. The event took place at actor Sean Penn’s home, where other celebrities were also present, including the bands The Killers and Queens of the Stone Age.
