The musician spoke about serious vision problems that prevent him from working and creating music.
British singer Elton John has spoken openly for the first time about his partial sight loss.
According to the musician, the problems started in July due to an infection that led to complete blindness in his right eye. The left eye is also affected, but the situation with it is slightly better.
“Unfortunately, in July I lost sight in my right eye due to an infection. Four months have passed since I could not see the situation in my left eye,” said the artist in an interview quoted by the Independent.
Elton John also shared that due to the loss of vision, he cannot work fully or create new music. The singer admitted that even it was difficult for him to read and watch anything:
“Of course, there is hope that everything will be fine, but to go to the studio and record, I don’t know… I can’t see anything to read or watch anything.”
Despite the difficulties, the musician hopes for a complete recovery, although so far the treatment has not brought the expected results.
Earlier, Elton John completed his farewell tour Farewell Yellow Brick Road, which lasted from 2018, becoming one of the most successful in the history of show business.
