Two masked robbers scaled the fence of Windsor Castle, stealing a car from a farm in the grounds of the royal residence.
On the evening of October 13, two masked intruders entered the territory of Windsor Castle, the main residence of the British monarchs, The Sun reports.
They climbed over a two-meter fence and ended up at Shaw farm, which was located near the castle. At the time, King Charles III and his wife Camila were away while the Duke and Duchess of Wales, Kate and William, and their three children were sleeping at Adelaide Cottage, just a five-minute drive from the crime scene.
The attackers stole a black Isuzu pickup truck and a red ATV stored in a barn. The most amazing thing in this story is that they were able to freely leave the farm through one of the main entrances, and the guards did not interfere with their actions.
The royal insider said that the criminals acted carefully and clearly knew when it was best to commit a robbery. The incident was kept secret for about a month; Representatives for Kate and William have not yet commented on the situation.
The incident has raised concerns about the security of the royal residence, which is considered one of the most secure in Britain. The investigation is ongoing.
It was previously reported that a high-profile robbery took place at the residence of Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.
