As a result of a typo, Mattel put a web address for an adult site on boxes of dolls released for the premiere of the movie Wicked.
Mattel has found itself in hot water for an error in the packaging of its new dolls created for the premiere of the movie Wicked, CNN reports.
The boxes were printed with a web address that was supposed to link to the movie’s official website, but due to a typo, the link redirected to an adult site. The company has officially apologized for the situation and recommends that parents remove the packaging or block access to the link.
Starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Wicked is an adaptation of the Broadway musical, which unfolds in Oz before Dorothy arrives.
It was previously reported that Mattel released a Barbie Women in Film collection.
