Musician Denis Povaliy, the son of famous singer Taisiya Povaliy, spoke publicly against the decision of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (HACC) to confiscate his mother’s property in Kyiv.
In his Instagram stories, he questioned the legality and morality of such a decision, calling it the “soviet method.”
Povaliy said that not all residents of the confiscated house share the singer’s point of view. “Can a man really be denied everything for his position?” – he asked, comparing VAKS actions with Soviet training and asking the question: “What were we fighting for then?
The musician also noted that they have five days to file an appeal, but expressed doubts about the real reasons for such a hard position of the court, calling attention to the search for real corrupt officials.
