On the 13th, in the finals of the Counter-Strike 2 tournament, the Ukrainian eSports organization Natus Vincere defeated the German team MOUZ with a 3:1 ratio and took the title of champions.
With this success, the team also ensured their participation in one of the most prestigious offensive rock tournaments – IEM Katowice 2025.
The IEM Rio final was held in the BO5 format – it was won as many as three times. In the first two days, NAVI showed that they adjusted more decisively, achieving victory against the odds of 13:11 and 13:2. In the third, MOUZ managed to defeat their opponent with a win in 7 rounds, and then the map became final – NAVI won with a score of 13:11. Also, two graves of the “National Peremagati” took an important mark of the most important gravel: Justinas JL Leskavičius became the MVP for the ESL version, and Mihai IM Ivan won the medal for the greatest achievement about CS2 – HLTV .
Maxim Krippa, head of the eSports NAVI organization:
“This is the fourth trophy won at the highest level tournaments for Rivers and the first in the history of the team, won from Rio itself. Regardless of the over-the-top schedule, it has to prove again and again NAVI is the number 1 in the world. I wrote that our team glorifies the names of Ukraine with its great achievements: there are still two important tournaments in the future: BLAST World Final and Perfect World Shanghai Major. Let’s relax early. In the meantime, I’ll win IEM Rio on Christmas Day.”
Intel Extreme Masters is a significant tournament held regularly by the German organizer ESL. Once upon a time we performed at the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
16 teams competed for a prize fund of 250,000 USD and qualification for IEM Katowice 2025.
Let’s remember why NAVI has become the champion of PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024, Esports World Cup and ESL Pro League Season 20.
