Actress Halle Bailey and rapper DDG have called it quits after three years of dating and ten months of co-parenting.
Halle Bailey, best known for her role as Ariel in the film Little Mermaidand rapper DDG split after a three-year relationship.
The couple announced their separation 10 months after the birth of their son Geilo. In an official statement posted on Instagram, DDG thanked fans for their support and assured that despite the breakup, their relationship remains friends and their love for their son remains paramount.
“Dear friends and fans, after much thought and heartfelt conversation, Holly and I have decided to part ways. This decision was not easy for us, but we believe it is the best path for both of us. I cherish the time we spent together and the love we shared. Despite the changes in our relationship, our love remains deep and true. We are best friends each other in our own paths and our roles as parents, we appreciate the connection we have built and the beautiful moments we have shared in this transition, we ask for your understanding and support.
Bailey, 24, and DDG, 26, first confirmed their relationship in March 2022, and the couple welcomed their first child in December 2023.
