After a loud party for Prince Marius, the eldest son of Crown Princess Matte-Marit, a robbery takes place at the royal residence.
A high-profile robbery took place at the residence of Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Matte-Marit.
According to Norwegian publication Se og Hør, the robbery took place after a party hosted by the Crown Princess’ son, 27-year-old Prince Marius.
The robbery reportedly involved a gang of motorcyclists who stole the royal family’s valuables from the house. Among the stolen items was silver, which the criminals tried to sell through an auction house. Footage emerged online showing one of the attackers moving through the apartment on a Segway, where things were scattered.
Prince Marius, who is not in line to the throne due to the fact that he is Matte-Marit’s son from a previous relationship, is in trouble with the law. Last summer, he was charged with drunken assault on an acquaintance and violating a warrant by attempting to contact the victim through a hidden phone number.
The royal family has yet to comment on the incident, but the incident has caused a stir in the Norwegian media.
Victoria’s Secret model Daniela Braga’s home in Los Angeles was previously reported to have been burglarized, and the stolen goods are estimated to be worth more than $1 million.
