Special Envoy in Rome
Stepping through the gates of Villa Albani, a neoclassical sanctuary in the heart of Rome, is a journey. It was built in the middle of XVIIIe century by Cardinal Albani to store his collections of antiquities, this palace also housed the finds of his friends who had returned from the Grand Tour. Three centuries later, these long enterprising journeys undertaken by young high society across Europe, with Rome as the main stage, inspired Alessandro Michele for the third chapter of Hortus Deliciarum, the high jewelery Gucci collection. So, the house of the Kering group presented to its customers last week in this wonderful setting a hundred pieces, always unique in style, but with even more impressive stones (which range in price from 50,000 to 2 million euros). A meeting with an inspired and inspirational art director on home soil.
