Originally published in 1983, the work is known for its intense and impactful exploration of romantic relationships and the pulse of desire, with an emphasis on LGBTQIA+.

The preface to the new edition, written by Alexandre Rabello, reinforces the contemporary relevance of the book, a classic of queer literature.

Francisco Hurtz’s works illustrate the edition
Set in a seminary for priests, the novel reflects Trevisan’s personal experiences, who lived in this environment during his childhood and adolescence. The story explores the complexity of sexuality and the influence of social mechanisms in the construction of heterosexual and homosexual identities.

The works of Francisco Hurtz, which articulate masculinity and homoeroticism, illustrate this beautiful edition. The preface by writer and curator Alexandre Rabello reinforces the current relevance of the work.
