Bianca DellaFancy will play Gabriela in Renascer

In the upcoming episodes of “Renascer,” the queer drag queen icon Bianca DellaFancy will shine at her friend Buba’s (Gabriela Medeiros) wedding. In the plot, Bianca plays Jorge and also Janaína, the character’s drag persona. On the day of Buba and José Augusto’s (Renan Monteiro) wedding, in addition to being the best man at the ceremony as Jorge, Janaína will perform “Gabriela” at the party – a song by Tom Jobim, immortalized by Gal Costa – faithfully staged as the iconic character played by Sônia Braga.

The performance will steal everyone’s attention, who will be hypnotized by Janaína’s beauty and sensuality. And one person in particular, Norberto (Matheus Nachtergaele).

“It was an honor to represent such an iconic character in the history of television as Gabriela in a space like the 9pm soap opera. “Renascer” is a plot that brings diversity and shows the Brazilian public the beauty of drag art. I feel very proud to occupy this space”, says Bianca, drag persona of multi-artist Felippe Souza.

The drag queen from São Paulo, who also hosts the program “Dando Duro” on DiaTV, who hosts the podcast “Quanto Vale Essa História?” on the internet, and who is a true phenomenon on YouTube, with more than 20 million views on her content, gives a spoiler of the scene: “There will be a little flirting afterwards. And we will also dance at the party, it is a very fun scene”, reveals Bianca, one of the most prominent LGBT+ names today.
