Actress Shannen Dougherty agreed to settle her divorce from ex-husband Kurt Isvarienko days before his death. People are reporting it.
According to court documents, Dougherty signed the affidavit waiving child support on July 12 just the day before her death. The documents state: “The parties enter into a written agreement regarding their property and rights in the marriage or civil partnership, including alimony, the original of which is or has been submitted to the court.”
Accordingly, Isvarienko signed the document the next day, July 13, when Dougherty passed away.
Shannen and Kurt tied the knot in October 2011, but after 12 years their marriage ended in a bitter divorce. In her podcast Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Dougherty, the actress admitted that the reason for the breakup was Kurt’s infidelity, which she found out on the eve of surgery to remove a brain tumor.
Dougherty then demanded that Isvarienko pay a monthly payment of $15,343, as well as all of his legal fees and attorney’s fees. He said that his ex-husband deliberately delayed the divorce process, hoping that he would not survive the disease.
