Duvall’s career peaked in the 1970s and 1980s. He starred in the classic psychological thriller directed by Stanley Kubrick, The Shining, based on the book of the same name by Stephen King. In the film, she played the role of Wendy Torrance, the wife of the main character Jack, played by Jack Nicholson.
In the mid-1990s, Duvall moved from Hollywood to his native Texas. The artist founded the production company Think Entertainment and created innovative children’s programs for cable television, which earned him two Emmy nominations.
