British Armed Forces Day is marked on the last Saturday of June and aims to honor veterans, serving military personnel and families.
To mark Armed Forces Day, the royal family has released a new official portrait of King Charles III.
The picture, taken at Windsor Castle, shows the monarch in uniform with medals, a sword and honours. His Majesty is the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
It is understood that the image of King Charles was taken in November by Hugo Bernand, the regular royal photographer who took the official photos of the king’s coronation in 2023.
