Colorful projections on the Palace’s facade celebrate diversity and reinforce the fight for equality this Friday (28), from 7 pm to 11 pm
“Designing the colors of the rainbow is a tribute to a population that fights for respect and survival. The letters of the acronym include sexual orientation and gender diversity, issues that would be private if it weren’t for the violence against us. Let’s sow affection above all else. This is basic, it’s being human,” highlights Léo Serra, a civil servant and member of the Senate’s LGBTQIA+ Affinity Working Group, which will be established on June 28.
The new Working Group will work in collaboration with the Senate Standing Committee for the Promotion of Gender and Racial Equality, seeking equal opportunities and inclusion of diversity.
The mapped projection of LGBTQIA+ Pride Day on the facade of Congress is an initiative of the Senate’s Public Relations Department, and is part of a calendar of exhibitions on topics relevant to Brazilian society.
