Initiative aims to support people in socially vulnerable situations; Minister Silvio Almeida signs partnership with the government of ES
The agreement, signed with the Secretariat of Human Rights (SEDH), was attended by governor Renato Casagrande (PSB). On that occasion, the Empodera+ Program was launched, which will initially be implemented in Espírito Santo. The federal government will invest R$655,000 in the program.
The initiative focuses on employability and promoting the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. Furthermore, Empodera+ seeks to increase education levels, offer professional training and promote integration into the job market and income generation.
According to SEDH, the project involves actions to support LGBTQIA+ people in situations of social vulnerability. The program will include grants to prepare and insert these people into the job market. Furthermore, an Opportunities Committee will be created to network the necessary equipment to establish the autonomy of these people, including human rights and citizenship courses.
