The Lord of the Rings actor in the play The Player Kings lost his footing during a fight scene and fell on stage.
Ian McKellen has spoken out after falling on stage at his West End show. The Daily Mail reported this.
In particular, he said he was “looking forward to getting back to work” and thanked his fans for their concern.
“I want to thank everyone for their good wishes and support. Following an accident while performing I was diagnosed and advice was given by experts, specialists and nurses working in the NHS. Of course I owe them of a large debt. They assured me that “My recovery will be complete and speedy, and I look forward to returning to work,” the official statement read.
It was previously reported that filming of the new Bridget Jones movie has been suspended after the main character was hospitalized following an injury.
