Chamber of Deputies discusses public policies for LGBT+ today

Commission on Human Rights, Minorities and Racial Equality meets at 4pm, in plenary 9

The Commission on Human Rights, Minorities and Racial Equality of the Chamber of Deputies, in Brasília (DF), will discuss this Wednesday (15) public policies for the LGBT+ population in the different federative units. The meeting starts at 4pm, in plenary 9.

Representative Erika Kokay (PT-DF), who requested the debate, highlights that, since 2021, the Atena Program has been mapping public policies aimed at the LGBTI+ population in all federative units.

This initiative has the support of Fundo Positivo, a private entity that strengthens and finances civil society organizations in the field of preventive health and diversity.

“The debate will be an opportunity to present the results of the program, discuss good practices in government management of public policies for the LGBTI+ population and promote dialogue between the various actors involved in promoting human rights and sexual and gender diversity”, it states .
