She begins to be haunted by past traumas when she decides to visit the city where she was born.
A strong and impactful scene will be shown on TV in the next chapters of the remake of “Renascer”, at 9pm, on Rede Globo. Buba (Gabriela Medeiros) will be the target of a prejudiced attack when she begins to be haunted by past traumas when she decides, together with Augusto (Renan Monteiro), to visit the city where she was born.
Upon arriving at the city’s hotel, the psychologist meets her childhood friend, Décio (Miguel Rômulo), who works there. Following Globo’s nine o’clock plot, Buba tries to avoid eye contact with Décio and, in the midst of a panic attack, leaves suddenly. Scenes from the past then come to light.
Viewers following Bruno Luperi’s reinterpretation will revisit Buba’s past through flashbacks, which show his life before his gender transition, when he still lived as Beto. On that occasion, a boy appears being chased and attacked by a group of teenagers. Décio intervenes to help his friend, keeping the attackers away.
Despite also being attacked, Décio defends himself with a rock and manages to hit the leader of the attackers. The group tries to help the injured teenager while Décio reaches out to Beto, who, in a state of shock, remains motionless.
