The play questions why homosexuality has been seen so negatively throughout history.
The theatrical show “3 Maneiras de Tocar no Assunto”, which addresses homophobia in modern society, will have its premiere in Bahia. The play with Leonardo Netto will be performed in Camaçari, on May 13th, at 7pm, at Teatro Alberto Martins, and in Salvador, on May 15th and 16th, at 8pm, in the Choir Room of Teatro Castro Alves.
The three performances are free, and tickets can be purchased both in person, at the theater box office (one hour before the start of each session), and online, through from this link.
“3 Ways to Touch the Subject” raises questions about homosexuality and prejudice against the LGBT+ community. The play questions why homosexuality has been seen so negatively throughout history and why LGBT+ people are often discriminated against.
With dramaturgy and performance by Leonardo Netto and direction by Fabiano Dadado de Freitas, the play is composed of three short solos addressed by three distinct instances: the School, the Law and the State.
The show has received almost 20 award nominations, including the Cesgranrio (Best Unpublished National Text, Actor and Special Category, for movement direction by Marcia Rubin) and Cenym National Theater (Best Monologue) awards.
