Hope, flourishing and delicious pools like those inhabited by North American working boys
The much talked about heat wave in Brazil brings hot, stuffy, suffocating weather. But there is hope, flourishing and delicious pools like those inhabited by the boys in the work of American photographer Terry Hastings, from Palm Springs (USA).
“Palm Springs Pool Party” is a selection of sunny, colorful and diverse images (some of them +18) gathered over more than 15 years of experience with Photography. The inspiration is admittedly from the English artist Davd Hocknev, who migrated to Los Angeles in the 1960s and had great importance in the Pop Art movement.
Water plays an interesting role in drawing shapes and mixing colors in photographs. Some of them are clearly inspired by Impressionism and Expressionism, but starring gay couples happy to love and say their names.
Much of Terry’s work includes the nude, in which he specializes. The men of Hastings are decorated with flowers, set in lush natural settings, and are as natural as the love that moves them.
