We seek to put a limit on the questions of those who try to invalidate us because of our singularities, fire
ErriVance, in collaboration with singers Killauea and Miguella Magnata, releases their latest single, titled “Desculpa”. Combining the style of the three artists, the sound of the track – which anticipates the rapper’s new album – presents hip hop in its most authentic form, encompassing rock and funk influences.
ErriVance, which uses challenging and romantic situations as a reference in its tracks, talks about the importance of its positioning. “This sound is an outburst, where we seek to put a limit on the questions of those who try to invalidate us because of our singularities and artistic style”, he says.
From this, he invited Killauea, from Petrolina (PE), and Miguella Magnata, from Salvador (BA), to collaborate on the song, as they shared similar experiences.
The collaboration brings together five independent artists, including singers and producers, from different regions of Brazil. Produced in partnership with Tom VX, “Desculpa” is guided by funk elements in the beat, which also incorporates a variety of Brazilian stimuli and uses the guitar as a base. “The message of this work is that we can be who we are. We can express ourselves freely through our art.”
However, more than exposing the adversities and erasures faced, the track points out ways to overcome them, highlighting the empowerment and reaffirmation of the artists’ space in the current scene. The beat, designed by Tom VX, was finished by All4n, serving as the basis for the creation of the hit.
The music video for “Desculpa”, directed by Murilo Deolino and Reifra, features photography by Lemuel Castro and Thacle de Souza. The project, in addition to marking a new aesthetic moment for the artist, begins an odyssey that will continue in the next visual of the EP “DEBO$HE”.
