Medalist diver reveals the emotion of representing his country and shares expectations for the Games
The British team has revealed the first images of the uniforms its athletes will wear at the upcoming Paris Olympic Games this summer, and our diver Tom Daley is leading the representation of divers with full LGBT+ pride.
“The pride and passion I feel in representing my country on the biggest sporting stage is unmatched, so to reveal a kit that captures the meaning of this moment is incredibly special,” Daley said in a statement. “I look forward to wearing it proudly in Paris this summer alongside my teammates.”
“We always focus on fit and material to ensure maximum comfort so we can perform at our best. When diving, it’s crucial to make sure everything is in the right place and nothing gets in the way, especially when you’re turning. Once you reach the water at 35 miles per hour, you don’t want anything out of place,” Daley added.
At the age of 29, Daley won the gold medal in men’s synchronized diving on the 10-meter platform at the 2020 Olympic Games. He also has three bronze medals, two on the 10-meter platform at the 2012 and 2020 Olympic Games, and one on the synchronized diving at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He is the first British diver to win four Olympic medals.

After the 2020 Summer Olympics, Daley took a break from the sport for around two years before returning to the 2023 British National Diving Cup, where he won the gold medal in the synchronized 10-metre platform event alongside Noah Williams.
He will look to add more medals to his CV at the Paris Olympics this summer.
