The police started an investigation under the article of intentional damage to property, because the man made two holes in the wall to hang his work.
In Munich, a museum worker was fired for displaying his painting in a gallery. The Guardian writes about it.
The 51-year-old technical worker had access to the gallery outside of working hours, so the security service did not pay attention to his actions. The man installed a 60 x 120 cm canvas to “create an artistic achievement.”
The painting, which was not by Warhol, was noticed the day after the gallery opened, but it was removed only at night. The work hangs in the exhibition of paintings for 8 hours – while the museum is open.
Gallery employees said they had not heard a single favorable review of the painting from visitors. The museum terminated the contract with the installer and banned him from visiting the gallery in the future.
We remind you that in Lviv they plan to restore the Shukhevych Museum during the war.
