Fans of Monroe, who died in 1962 at the age of 36, regularly visit her crypt in Los Angeles.
A place in the common crypt next to Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe has been sold at auction for $195,000, the BBC reports.
The site is also located next to the grave of Playboy founder Hugh Geffner, who bought the crypt next to Monroe in 1992.
The buyer was Anthony Jabin, a technology investor in the Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles. He said he “always dreamed” of being with Monroe. Along with the place in the crypt, the man got a bathing suit that belonged to Monroe, as well as Gefner’s old bed.
Other notable items sold at auction included a pink silk Pucci dress owned by Monroe, which sold for a top price of $325,000.
Actress Elizabeth Arden’s used lipstick also brought in $65,000.
It was previously reported that a place in the mausoleum next to actress Marilyn Monroe and Playboy magazine founder Hugh Geffner was put up for auction.
