He continued to see doctors until he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

“When they finally told him, it completely sent him into a worse depression,” Lisa Lloyd said.

He talked about how he refused to take medicine because he didn’t think he was sick. The man crashes his car and turns off his phone. And then he called on the phone and said that he was killed.

Jake is now 10 months into an 18-month stay at a psychiatric rehabilitation facility after what he called a full-blown mental breakdown in March 2023 when he stopped his car in the middle of a three-lane road and called the police.

The woman said Jake was feeling better. And he saw the new Star Wars movies.

“He loves all the new Star Wars stuff. People think Jake hates Star Wars. But he doesn’t. He loves those movies,” she said.
