The oval Air Swipe bag is 99% air and 1% glass. The weight of the new item is only 33 grams.
The famous French brand Coperni, famous for its unusual accessories and outfits, surprised the audience at Paris Fashion Week. Harper’s Bazaar reported it.
In particular, at the fall-winter 2024 collection show, designers presented the Air Swipe Bag. It consists of 99% air and 1% glass.
According to Coperni’s creative team, the glass component is actually a silica airgel nanomaterial, which they describe as “very fine (and not brittle).” This material was used by NASA to collect stardust because it can withstand extreme temperatures and pressures up to 4,000 times its weight.
The handbag weighs about 33 grams. It can accommodate the most necessary things: for example, a regular iPhone.
The cost of the accessory is 3,600 euros, and its production takes 8-10 weeks. Due to the uniqueness of the item, it cannot be returned.
