They lived as husband and wife all their lives. The designer’s wife died in 2015 at the age of 100. They had no children.
During his career, the fashion icon collaborated with famous companies such as Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Elle, Vogue, and signed his last modeling contract at the age of 97. Also, the legendary Jimmy brand Choo released an Iris shoe model dedicated to Apfel.
