According to information from the newspaper Extra, the religious leader and his partner were detained by the Civil Guard on charges of selling the items illegally. After their arrest, the couple was released on bail and ordered to appear in court every night.
The arrest of the priest and his companion took place after an operation to curb the illegal sale of stimulants in the town of Don Benito, in Badajoz, Spain.
