Lia Clark is the main attraction of Minhoqueens, the traditional LGBTQIAP+ group at São Paulo Carnival
O wormqueensone of the most popular LGBTQIAP+ groups in São Paulo, will take to the city’s streets this 2024 Carnival with the theme “Love is essential”.
The parade, which last year brought together around 200,000 revelers, will take place this Saturday, February 10th, from 12pm, with a concentration on the famous corner of Avenida Ipiranga and Avenida São João, in República.
With a performance by the drag queen singer Lia Clarkthe block hopes to spread love among the community.
“Minhoqueens preaches love and diversity in defense of the rights of the LGBTQIAP+ community. Every part of us will be turning to this energy because after all, love is essential!”, explained Mama Darling It is Luis Giustiblock organizers.
On the streets since 2016, Minhoqueens is considered the first Drag Queen group in Brazil and seeks to embrace diversity with fun, respect and lots of Pop music.
AFTER THE BLOCKS
For the most lively revelers, Minhoqueens prepared a series of after block parties on Carnival days in several houses in the central region.
The first will be the after party of Bloco Minhoqueens, which will take place after the block at Kat Klub, located on Rua Augusta, from 5pm to 11pm.
