The exhibition is dedicated to the theme of Grounding Light, where the installation is transformed at night with the help of more than a thousand solar lanterns.
A huge installation of 448 pyramids built in the shape of the sun – Self Similar – appeared on Fahid Island in Abu Dhabi. The corresponding footage was published online.
The creation belongs to the American artist Jim Denevan. The area is one square kilometer, the height of the largest pyramid is 27 m.
The pyramids form a mandala pattern.
The entire composition can be seen from two viewing platforms – visitors can climb the mounds to enjoy panoramic views and contemplate the diversity of what art has created. By the way, it is better to admire at night. At sunset, the installation turns into a spectacular light show.
