Teens won’t see posts that mention suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
Meta will strengthen content restrictions for minor users on Facebook and Instagram. This is reported by the press service.
Updated app settings will hide offensive comments under minors posts.
“We automatically put teens under strict content controls on Instagram and Facebook. We’ve already implemented this setting for new teens when they join Instagram and Facebook, and now we’re expanding it to teens who are already using these programs. Our recommendations address content controls, which are known because Instagram’s “Sensitive Content Controls” and Facebook’s “Shortcuts” make it difficult for people to find potentially sensitive content or account in places like Search & Explore, it says.
Let’s remember that Mark Zuckerberg first sold Meta shares.
