The king could abdicate in five or ten years and pass the crown to Prince William and Kate Middleton while they are still young.

King Charles may abdicate the throne in the next five to ten years and pass the throne to his eldest son William, as Queen Margrethe II of Denmark did. The Daily Mail reported this.

In particular, the 83-year-old Danish monarch announced in his New Year’s speech that he will retire on January 14, and his son Frederick will take the throne.

“It might make you wonder if King Charles, in five or ten years’ time, might consider doing the same if his health is suffering, or if he thinks now is a good time to give William and Kate while they “Our the late queen will never abdicate because of what happened in 1936 when her uncle abdicated and her father succeeded. Another royal expert, Richard Fitzwilliams, said Queen Margrethe’s move was because she did not want to see the Danish monarchy become obsolete.

It was previously reported that Charles III called Prince Harry an “idiot” after the release of his documentary series Harry and Meghan on Netflix in 2022.
