Amid the conflicts in Israel and Ukraine, he pointed to the words of Jesus Christ: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
In his Christmas speech, King Charles III of Great Britain mentioned the war in our country and wished for peace on earth.
In particular, he quoted a phrase from Jesus Christ, noting that it “seems more important than ever.” His words came against the backdrop of armed conflicts in Israel and Ukraine.
“And in a time of increasingly tragic conflict around the world, I pray that we too will do all we can to protect one another. The words of Jesus seem more important than ever: “Do to you want something else. you.”
The British monarch also wished for “peace on earth and goodwill for all,” and called for helping others and striving for good.
“Values like these are universal, binding our Abrahamic family of religions and other belief systems across Britain and the world. They remind us to put ourselves in the shoes of our neighbors and find the their good as well as ourselves,” said the king.
Charles III also praised the efforts of volunteers in helping those in need.
It was previously reported that Buckingham Palace unveiled a New Year’s portrait of British King Charles III.
