Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor’s funeral took place on September 19. Her ashes were interred in King George VI’s Chapel at Windsor.

Princess Anne revealed that Queen Elizabeth was worried it would be difficult to organize her funeral if she died at Balmoral. However, his family convinced him that everything would be fine. The Daily Mail reported this.

“I think there was a point where he felt it would be more difficult if he died at Balmoral. But we all tried to convince him that it didn’t have to be part of the decision-making process and he didn’t have to worry,” he said.

However, most relatives thought it was appropriate for the Queen to spend her final days at Balmoral because of her love for the Scottish Highlands.

Princess Anne added that she was relieved to see the royal crown removed from the monarch’s coffin for the last time at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. “It’s great, I feel relieved that it’s all over,” he said. “This responsibility is passed on to others.”

It will be recalled that the official statement from Buckingham Palace stated that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 97 from old age.

It was previously reported that Princess Anne took the lead role in her brother’s coronation.
